I'm currently studying for my CCNA and Security+ certifications and specializing in Network Support Services at McFatter Technical Center. Although I have a massive amount to learn, I have experience in basic aspects of computer networking, and can perform troubleshooting (routing and end-user), setup and configure Cisco professional-grade routers and switches, and subnet.
I hold the CompTIA A+ certification, and I'm able to select compatible parts and assemble a computer from scratch,
as well as troubleshoot hardware and software problems. I have some experience with this, and so have a basic knowledge
of how each part of a computer connects together to form an organized machine.
Via outside study, I have an understanding for programming theory and have a grasp at
how problems can be resolved by programming. I am comfortable working with C#, VB.NET, JAVA,
JavaScript, CSS, and HTML along with low-level scripting languages (shell scripts, batch files).
I also have a basic understanding of ActionScript and Python.
I mostly use Windows and Ubuntu Server, but have an understanding of OS X and I'm comfortable
working with Ubuntu (Desktop) and Debian Linux.
I've been learning Mandarin Chinese for about six years now, but yet I'm still unable to read
and write at anything more than a basic level (and do worse at speaking). Still, I continue trying to learn.
I'm also part of an online language exchange, allowing other people to correct my Chinese while
I correct their English.
In total, I've had seven years of experience with music. Even though practicing isn't quite
second-nature (but getting there!) for me, I am passionate about what I play, and push myself
to continue finding new, fast, lively pieces of music to learn.
The fact that this even appears here is a testament to the amount of time I spend playing games.
Waaay too much. However, even playing lots of games has helped me to create and develop my
own philosophy about gaming and the industry, and spark an interest in programming.
